Act of the Barge of Hell

O Auto da Barca do Inferno
Series of paintings based on the homonymous work of the playwright Gil Vicente; this play, which was first performed in 1517, is a complex dramatic allegory on a satire of the Portuguese society of the 16th century (work in execution).

Invited by the publishing company Editora Moderna from São Paulo, Brazil, to include images from this series in the middle school textbook “Identidade em Ação – Língua Portuguesa”, authored by Thelma Carvalho Guimarães and commissioned by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. Expected to be released in 2021.
